Welcome to my website and thank you for allowing me to share this time with you. I have spent the last 22 years working to create a holistic practice for individuals, couples and families to find balance in their own world.
My first passion is working with families affected by addiction. I have been an, Addiction Specialist for over two decades in both, Non-Profit and Private Practice settings. I strive to help individuals, couples and families navigate the issues that dependency can bring up.
This last decade I have recognized the importance of balancing and grounding in myself and others. I have studied several energy modalities that have transformed my own life as well as those I have worked with.
I have my Masters in Counseling Psychology and am Licensed through (CCAPP) California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals. I have been certified as a Reiki Master through the Usui lineage.

Substance Abuse and Recovery
Drug and Alcohol Abuse does not happen in a bubble; an individual’s substance use affects everyone they come into contact with and everyone plays a part in the use and recovery. As a Recovery Counselor, I am available to help everyone involved who are willing to begin looking at possibilities for change
I provide individual, couple and family counseling to help change the progression of substance use. In Session we will create individualized Treatment plans, provide recovery counseling and education and decide what level of recovery coaching will be beneficial.
Reiki and Animal Reiki
Reiki is a Japanese healing technique that uses the bodies own energy to promote relaxation, reduces stress and alleviate anxiety. Reiki is a powerful tool in helping individuals alleviate blockages and create healing.
I am a Reiki Master and certified in Animal Reiki. In my practice I work with animals and their human companions to promote bonding and trust building. Identify physical and emotional blocks and help with life transitions.
BEMER PEMF
When we are working within the mental health realm and addressing issues related to substance abuse, behavioral issues or stress, the brain and body are stuck in a stressed nervous cycle. Signs of this cycle include substance abuse, unhealthy behaviors, sleep disturbances, negative thinking and a racing mind.
PEMF calms the brain so a person can think clearly, work towards developing plans and follow through with appropriate action.
I use BEMER technology to help the individual recenter and regulate their nervous system.

I have extensive experience working with adolescents, adults and families who have been affected by addiction.
I utilize many different treatment approaches including; CBT, Solution Focused, and DBT therapies which have a, reality based model. This means that as we explore the many struggles that addiction brings to individuals and families. I also provide Sandtray and Expressive Arts therapies, that offer an organic and holistic approach to addiction. I am here to provide information as well as empathy to help you find the strength to move forward into recovery.
I specialize in working with individuals in the recovery process and their families. Understanding the changes that are required, every step of way, is key to learning how to reach out and support each other. I provide education about both addiction, recovery and the biochemistry of substance abuse.
It is essential to remember that removing substances is only a first step in making this important life change; behaviors, fears and habits are harder to change. As a licensed addiction counselor, I will help you identify the aspects that need to be changed and identify the direction that will work best for your individual recovery process.

Reiki
Developed by Mikao Usui in Japan in the 1920s, Reiki is a Japanese healing arts and is useful for pain, stress and relaxation management, helping to promote healing. Reiki is a gentle technique that is suitable for even very fragile patients, so it is accepted widely in hospitals and hospices around the world as it is a relaxing form of healing therapy applied through noninvasive, nonmanipulative gentle touch or hovering.
Reiki was traditionally taught directly from doctors and advisors to clients and patients in conjunction with other forms of medicine and therapy. It is about intuitively recognizing when your energy is off and finding a way to balance it. Reiki finds the source of the problem and brings healing, whether we know the source of the problem or not.

Animal Reiki
Animals connect very easily to Reiki energy. They decide the length of their session from a few minutes to over an hour. They naturally know what they need and are quite good at letting us know what their needs are. Because they are very sensitive to energy, Reiki can be done completely hands of or even from a distance.
I have studied and practice an animal-driven philosophy. And have seen the benefits of sessions create a sense of safety, reduce physical discomfort and alleviate stress or tension in our animals.
Reiki is helpful with animals struggling with behavior imbalance, health concerns (vet, surgery, illness), anxiety or depression or life transitions.
Animal Reiki Options:

At this time onsite animal reiki is only done in person in outdoor locations in South San Jose, South County and San Benito County.

In person equine reiki can include BEMER© PEMF

Distance Reiki will include zoom sessions with the human companion. Animals will need to be met via zoom or by uploaded picture.

Animal Reiki sessions are contingent on the needs of the animal and animal companion. Sessions are scheduled for 30 - 60 minutes
Animal Reiki sessions are often conducted with their human companion to create the energetic connection that both need to find balance.
